Seven factors affecting the output of pellet mill
作者:
The granulator is used to grind the wet powder into the desired granules, and it can also pulverize the bulk dry materials to the desired granules. It is more and more widely used in our production and life. Then, for the situation that the user encounters the reduction of the output of the pellet machine in the production process, in fact, there are many factors that affect the output of the pellet machine. The following is a brief introduction to the seven factors that affect the output of the pellet machine.
1. Grease Add a small amount of grease (0.5%~1%), which is beneficial to reduce the wear of the parts of the pellet machine, and make the pellets easily pass through the die holes, increasing the pelletizing output value. However, when the increase exceeds 2%, the particles will be loose and difficult to form. Therefore, when increasing the high dose of grease, it is advisable to add 30% of the full amount at the mixer, and spray 70% of the full amount at the granulator.
2. Appropriate crude fiber content (3%~5%) of crude fiber is conducive to the bonding of pellets, reducing the pulverization rate of pellets and increasing the output value of pelletizing, but when the crude fiber content exceeds 10%, it will be due to stickiness. Poor cohesion affects the hardness and forming rate of particles, increases mechanical wear, and reduces granulation output value.
3. Material moisture The moisture content of the material is too high, reducing the amount of steam added during pelleting, affecting the progress of pelletizing temperature, and then affecting the output value and quality of pellet feed. At the same time, the moisture of the material is too high, it is difficult to temper and easily cause the material to slip between the inner wall of the ring die and the pressing roller, resulting in the blockage of the ring die hole. Usually, the moisture content of the material should be below 13% before conditioning.
4. Protein The protein content of the material is high, the plasticity of the material after being heated is large, the viscosity is increased, and the granulation output value is high. However, when non-protein nitrogen (such as urea, etc.) is high, the granulation output value decreases.
5. Starch Grains have high starch content, are easy to granulate under high temperature and high moisture, and have a high output value. At this moment, the moisture content for conditioning is required to be between 16% and 18%. The tempering temperature should be above 80℃. Otherwise, the starch gelatinization degree is poor, resulting in brittle particles, and even cannot be formed. If the grain has already been matured before conditioning (eg drying corn), the value of the pelleting yield is reduced. Therefore, when purchasing raw materials, it is better not to choose dried ones.
6. Heat-sensitive feed Lactose, whey powder, etc. will increase in viscosity after being heated, which will increase the output value, but if the temperature exceeds 60 °C, it will easily cause coking, block the die hole, and affect the pelleting output value. Therefore, warm water can be used when conditioning this type of feed.
7. Minerals Inorganic feeds have almost no cohesion. The granulation function is poor, which affects the granulation output value. Therefore, when the inorganic content is high, a small amount of binder (such as molasses) is usually added to the material to improve the granulation function and increase the output value of the granulator.
